How will you ensure your proposed event is both inclusive and accessible?
Section 2:
What are the aims of your event?
Consider how your event will benefit the University of Chester community.
Please list the names of those organising the event and their roles/responsibilities.
How many people do you expect to attend your event?
What is the estimated cost of your event?
Consider allocating money from your society’s social pot and selling tickets to pay for the costs of your event. You may also want to check if your event meets the criteria to apply for the Society Development Grant or Proud to Be Fund.
What will you be charging students for the event? Events can be free if costs can be funded without selling tickets.
Section 3:
Have you completed a risk assessment for your event?
This can be found on the CSU Committee Hub.
Have you identified any risks that you feel could affect the event?
PLEASE NOTE: No BBQ’S are allowed on site.
Have you liaised with any University departments about your event? If so who?
Once the Society Event Proposal Form and any other relevant documents have submitted, your event will be considered by CSU's Vice President Student Life and the Student Opportunities team.
If your event proposal is provisionally agreed, you will be invited to meet with the Student Opportunities team to discuss your event further.
Deadlines
Simple events with low attendee numbers - 10 working days in advance.
Events which require more organisation and planning, for example events with higher number of attendees, catering, bigger spaces, and the sale of tickets. - 1 month in advance.
Once the Society Event Proposal Form and any other relevant documents have been submitted, your event will be considered by CSU's Vice President Student Life and the Student Opportunities team.
If your event proposal is provisionally agreed, you will be invited to meet with the Student Opportunities team to discuss your event further.
Once your Event Proposal Form is submitted, we will be in touch within 7 working days.
